Yvan Martinez and Joshua Trees have over ten years experience as designers and educators.
Since 2001 they have been working across the education/industry divide, leading workshops and live projects at schools internationally including Art Center College of Design, ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Bath School of Art & Design, Fabrica, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Stockport College, San Francisco Art Institute, UCLA DMA Summer Institute and Valand School of Fine Arts, whilst designing information and spatial experiences for clients including Arkitip, Edwin, Emigre, Harmony Korine, MTV, Nike, The Face, Urban Outfitters and Wieden + Kennedy.
From 2005-08 Martinez and Trees edited and creative directed v. Journal of Experimental Typography. Currently, both are co-founders, editors and art directors of Hayama Projects, a contemporary art/design/theory magazine and temporary project space based in Yokohama, Japan.
Additionally, both teach at Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design and the London College of Communication.
